PURPOSE:
· To ensure safe planning, coordination, and execution of all lifting operations on construction sites, in compliance with company policies, project requirements, and international health and safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Plan and review all lifting activities, including preparation of lifting plans and method statements.
· Ensure all lifting operations comply with HSE regulations, company policies, and international standards.
· Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and crane operators to ensure safe execution of lifting activities.
· Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
· Verify that all lifting equipment (cranes, slings, hooks, etc.) is properly inspected, certified, and maintained.
· Supervise and monitor lifting activities on-site to ensure adherence to safety procedures.
· Investigate lifting-related incidents and prepare reports with corrective and preventive actions.
· Maintain accurate documentation, including lifting plans, inspection records, and permits.
· Provide guidance and training to site personnel on safe lifting practices.
· Support Health & Safety administrative functions, including reporting and compliance tracking.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or Equivalent.
· Minimum (5+) years of experience.
· Good knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook, ...etc.).
· Good knowledge of ERP systems concepts with proven practice.
· Good command in spoken and written English.
· Proficiency in Lifting Operations Planning and Risk Assessment & Safety Compliance, with the ability to effectively leverage these skills to ensure high-quality deliverables.
· Technical background in AutoCAD, crane load chart analysis, and lifting management software, coupled with the ability to efficiently apply technical standards within a dynamic work environment.
