Position Summary
The Process Engineer will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining power generation blocks, utility, and energy systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role will focus on process optimization, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, energy efficiency improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives across integrated power generation facilities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience from large-scale power generation plants, combined cycle power plants (CCPP), cogeneration plants, utility systems, and energy facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization & Performance Improvement
- Analyze and optimize power generation and utility processes to maximize efficiency, reliability, and plant output.
- Monitor and evaluate plant performance using process data and operating KPIs.
- Conduct heat and mass balance calculations and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Lead energy efficiency and process optimization initiatives aimed at reducing losses and improving asset utilization.
- Support implementation of advanced process control and operational excellence programs.
Performance Monitoring & Data Analytics
- Review operating data, trends, and process deviations.
- Develop and monitor performance indicators for turbines, HRSGs, utilities, and balance-of-plant systems.
- Prepare technical reports and performance analyses for management and operations teams.
- Utilize process simulation and modeling tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
- Investigate operational upsets, process bottlenecks, and performance degradation.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Provide technical support during plant startup, shutdown, and abnormal operating conditions.
- Support reliability improvement and process troubleshooting initiatives.
Power Generation & Utility Systems Support
- Provide engineering support for:
- Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP)
- Gas Turbine Generators (GTG)
- Steam Turbine Generators (STG)
- Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG)
- Cogeneration facilities
- Utility and energy systems
- Steam, condensate, cooling water, fuel gas, and associated systems
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in engineering studies, plant modifications, and capital projects.
- Support commissioning and performance testing of new equipment and systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Promote a strong safety culture through risk identification and mitigation.
- Participate in HAZOP, PHA, MOC, and process safety activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical / chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
- Professional certifications in Process Optimization, Six Sigma, Energy Management, or related disciplines are advantageous.

- 5+ years of experience in process engineering within:
