WSP in the Middle East is seeking a commercially focused Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major building projects in Dubai. The role will involve contract administration, cost control, valuations, commercial reporting, and management of contractual matters throughout the construction lifecycle.



Responsibilities:
  • Administer the commercial and contractual aspects of construction supervision projects.
  • Review and assess contractor payment applications and certifiable quantities.
  • Evaluate variation orders, claims, and extension of time submissions.
  • Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and commercial assessments.
  • Monitor project budgets and identify potential cost risks.
  • Review Bills of Quantities and contract documents.
  • Support procurement evaluations and tender reviews where required.
  • Conduct measurement and valuation of completed works.
  • Participate in progress and commercial meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Prepare recommendations on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Monitor final account negotiations and project close-out activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering.
  • 12–15 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience on building construction supervision or consultancy projects.
  • Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts.
  • Experience with interim valuations, claims, variations, and final accounts.
  • Knowledge of industry measurement standards (POMI, NRM, SMM).
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation is advantageous.
