Job Title: Tatar Language Expert

Job Type: Contractor (Remote)

Location: Due to regulatory restrictions, we are unable to hire or contract individuals residing in or working from countries subject to comprehensive U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions.

Job Summary: In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transcribe Tatar-language videos, accurately noting timestamps and speaker details.
2. Translate complex materials between Tatar and English, ensuring contextual and conceptual accuracy.
3. Analyze linguistic features such as grammar, tone, and conceptual meaning at an expert level.
4. Detect and annotate emotional and tonal nuances expressed by speakers within multimedia content.
5. Produce clear and comprehensive documentation for language data and annotation tasks.
6. Collaborate closely with the customer's team and deliver feedback to improve data quality and project outcomes.
7. Commit to a minimum of 15 hours of work weekly, prioritizing both written and verbal communication excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Native or near-native fluency in both Tatar and English languages.
2. Demonstrated expertise in transcription, translation, and advanced linguistic analysis.
3. Strong capability for detecting emotional tone and annotating language data.
4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
5. Proven ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a remote setting.
6. Experience in documentation and reporting within linguistics or language-related projects.
7. Comfortable navigating various digital tools and platforms for annotation and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Prior experience working with AI, machine learning, or language data annotation projects.
2. Background in linguistics, translation studies, or related fields.
3. Demonstrated ability to analyze and document complex language phenomena.
