We are looking for a MEP Quality Engineer to join our team in Riyadh and be part of one of Saudi Arabia's giga projects.



Summary

The Quality Mechanical Inspector focuses strictly on the hands-on inspection, verification, and documentation of mechanical installations on-site. This is a field-heavy quality control role ensuring compliance from material delivery through to testing and commissioning.



Responsibilities

  • Inspect mechanical installation works to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards.
  • Conduct inspections and prepare WIRs/MIRs in coordination with the Consultant/PMC.
  • Review material deliveries and verify compliance with approved material submittals.
  • Monitor installation quality, identify non-conformities, and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection records, and test reports.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants during inspections and testing.
  • Witness testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.


Skills


  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Quality Inspector in construction projects.
  • Experience in public realm, landscaping, infrastructure, or building projects is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of international standards, Saudi Building Code (SBC), ASME, ASTM, NFPA, and project specifications.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, WIRs, MIRs, and NCR management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration (preferred/required as applicable).
  • Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
  • Candidates available for immediate mobilization or joining will be given preference.
