Job Vacancy: Estimator – Event Production

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our event production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a wide range of event production projects, including scenic fabrication, stage setups, exhibition stands, event infrastructure, custom-built displays, and other related works.

The Estimator will work closely with the Sales, Design, Production, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure quotations are competitive, technically accurate, and aligned with project requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review client inquiries, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for event production projects.
  • Perform quantity take-offs based on drawings, layouts, and design concepts.
  • Estimate material, labor, equipment, transportation, subcontractor, and installation costs.
  • Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive quotations.
  • Coordinate with the Design and Production teams to verify constructability and production methods.
  • Identify project risks and recommend cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost breakdowns, and pricing schedules.
  • Maintain and regularly update costing databases, material rates, and labor costs.
  • Participate in tender submissions and proposal preparation.
  • Assist in project handovers by providing estimated budgets and scope details to the operations team.
  • Monitor actual project costs against estimated budgets and recommend improvements for future estimates.
  • Ensure quotations are submitted within required deadlines.
  • Support continuous improvement of estimating procedures and cost-control practices.
