Job description


Most CA roles ask you to close books and file returns for one entity. This one is different: you'd own the financial and tax function across a holding company and its subsidiaries, not a single P&L.


Emerald Sands is a Dubai holding company (DAFZA) with subsidiaries spanning real estate, mainland and free zone entities, and stakes in international financial institutions.

  1. Own group-level financial reporting and consolidation across the holding company and its subsidiaries
  2. Manage UAE Corporate Tax registration, filing, and structuring for the holding entity and each subsidiary
  3. Handle VAT compliance and FTA correspondence group-wide
  4. Advise on intercompany structuring, DLD transfer fee exposure on shareholding changes, and free zone/mainland tax positions

  1. Based in Dubai. Immediate joiners preferred.n mainland, free zone, and international ventures, and how to structure each one tax-efficiently.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact with FTA, Licensing and relevant institutions for compliance matters.
  3. Support financial reporting on real estate holdings and financial institution stakes.
  4. Provide advisory and financial reporting on real estate holdings and all new investment, acquisition/ restructuring of existing businesses globally


Skills

What you bring:


  1. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified — ICAI, ICAEW, or equivalent recognized body; ACCA or CPA also considered
  2. 4-6 years UAE experience, ideally with group or multi-entity structures
  3. Hands-on Corporate Tax and VAT filing experience post-2023
  4. Working knowledge of cross-border tax structuring (DTAs, international holding structures) alongside UAE free zone/mainland rules
  5. Comfortable engaging directly with free zone authorities
  6. FTA Tax Agent registration is a plus, not a requirement
  7. Fluent English
